untitled rant

So... You post a picture of you and your daddy and you have this long caption about how your daddy has blah blah blah blah and how you blah blah blah on your Instagram. And then you wait for people to like your masterpiece (your beautifully edited picture and the caption you painstakingly crafted just to make you seem like you are grateful for your father)

Gosh I haven't been wearing my retainers for a few days because of this stupid ulcer located at the part where my retainers touch my gum. Ugh hate myself for being so cheapskate and looking only at short term benefits.

Ok I have to look at things in the long term because I'll live like there is always a tomorrow.

I was wondering hmm what is a fatherly figure in the eyes of society
On this Father's Day, what do we do? Why am I so cynical and skeptical of people's motive? Why? Maybe they sincerely want to let the whole world or at least the followers on their Instagram (followers who read your captions) know how much they love their dad. Yep maybe.

And then I'm having this thought again. What. Is. The. Point. Of. Instagram. Wait let me go and google....

Ok I'm back.
Capture and share the worlds moments; sharing your life with your family and friends. Ok. I get it. I think I get it.

Next thing
There's this burning question in my mind.

Gross I just burped and there is the taste of my disgusting cough syrup at the back of my throat. Er mah gerd.

I always write "fast pace of living",  "you change your Facebook status faster than your clothes" , 「生活步伐匆促」blah blah in my essays. But really. How fast is our pace of living today? And then which era are we comparing with? The preinternet days or the prehistoric days? Well, I have this unsatisfactory and lame answer here:

Ok firstly, fast pace of living. This means that we want things to be fast fast fast and at the same time smooth smooth smooth. That's good-as a child born in the era of computers and TV, fast is the norm and fast is always good -fast food, fast wifi speed, fast car, fats

And then there's a problem. When things go so fast the people/thing who cannot follow will fall behind and get forgotten. Just like the stupid Instagram example: your daddy does not have Instagram so he cannot see your long caption!!!!!!!!!! Ok???? And then there's this big thing that I'm extremely concerned about-胡同. Teacher be like "how successful are government efforts in preserving the traditional blah." Ok.....if you want to preserve, then your preserve. Don't say you want to preserve and then the next second you wanna build skyscrapers and highways around. Very contradicting leh! I iz so confuzed.

Idk. I'm sleepy and I need to pee.
