Yesterday was MayDay's 15th anniversary/birthday!

Taking time off my seemingly busy weekend to craft this post because i love my blog. The first week of term 2 is over. I have been in TJ for almost two months- my hair is longer, my skin is tanner and my passion is dimmer.

I deleted instagram and twitter (and facebook) off my phone not because i spend too much time on it but because i feel that too much social media exposure is unhealthy to my psychological health/wealth. You unconsciously refresh your feed umpteen times to see what is going on in other people's life. you envy their beautiful clothes and their nice food and their seemingly better social life. so bad for my psychological health. i am done with instagram i am done with it.

You know Facebook is losing it when people stop adding you on facebook and instagram is the first social platform they follow you on. i am done with social media. byebye, instagram. i say bye bye

My generation is greedy and pragmatic. We crave for attention and love too much. Social media is the cause of it. I deleted instagram because
  1. i spend a lot of time on it
  2. i feel green seeing other people's lives
  3. i feel green seeing other people's likes
  4. i only had 40 likes for my photo (im losing it!!!)
Now, i hope that by removing the existence of instagram of my life will guide me to be a less greedy and pragmatic person. Soon, I will understand that life is not just about how many likes I got for my instagram photo or how many retweets i garnered for my nonsensical tweet. I also need to understand that we are all different individuals who have different ways of approaching people and issues; I just need to stop being over-sensitive and be gracious. be gracious, grace!

TJ made me spend $5 on a personality test- here's my strongest.. personality.
Connectedness

Things happen for a reason. You are sure of it. You are sure of it because in your soul you know that
we are all connected. Yes, we are individuals, responsible for our own judgments and in possession
of our own free will, but nonetheless we are part of something larger. Some may call it the collective
unconscious. Others may label it spirit or life force. But whatever your word of choice, you gain
confidence from knowing that we are not isolated from one another or from the earth and the life on it.
This feeling of Connectedness implies certain responsibilities. If we are all part of a larger picture,
then we must not harm others because we will be harming ourselves. We must not exploit because
we will be exploiting ourselves. Your awareness of these responsibilities creates your value system.
You are considerate, caring, and accepting. Certain of the unity of humankind, you are a bridge
builder for people of different cultures. Sensitive to the invisible hand, you can give others comfort that
there is a purpose beyond our humdrum lives. The exact articles of your faith will depend on your
upbringing and your culture, but your faith is strong. It sustains you and your close friends in the face
of life’s mysteries.

Also, I have decided to be more down-to-earth. I am going to devote all my time to my studies and blog.

so, i shall go back to my studies.
