China 2014

Omg I just typed 🇨🇳3014 by accident. What will the world be like in a thousand years time?

Before the holidays, I said I needed to spend some time with myself so here I am- on the coach, mayday playing in the background, thinking about how time has passed for this erm 4 months.

A 7 hour flight to Beijing with a particular history teacher from school made me really guilty/sad/idk. He was saying how people who care about something will voice their opinions, will show anger. And he said it's terrible when one stops feeling anything towards anything and that scarily sounds like yours truly. I need to feel more, embrace more and understand myself better. Hmm I guess that will be my motto for the next semester.

So the above paragraph wasn't even about china. Lol.

Ok so what do I have to say about my two days here? Well, nothing really actually changed from my visit in December, 2011.

The food street at TianJin is still as dirty and sleazy and smelly as ever. Oh wait they were selling this 耳眼糕 yesterday and I don't remember seeing that three years ago. But that block of brown stuff aside, nothing changed. The same kind of merchandises are still being sold, the people are still using methods to get you to buy their goods. Hmm.

Look at my high ugly ankle sox.
And I got coke! It's not just coca cola. It's mayday coca cola. Liking the food here, they added tomato to their previous egg white soup so I guess something changed. And I see more people cycling in Beijing/Tianjin so I guess that is also a change.
